International Assistant

Our Company: Chauvin Arnoux, Inc. d/b/a AEMC® Instruments: We are a well-established world-leader in test and measurement instrumentation. We design and manufacture professional electrical test and measurement instruments for the industrial, commercial, and utility marketplace. Specifically, our full product line includes clamp-on meters, transformer ratiometers, power quality meters, harmonic power meters, data loggers, megohmmeter, ground testers, oscilloscopes, cable testers, thermal cameras and numerous other electrical test instruments.

Primary Purpose

Our headquarters in Dover, NH seeks an individual whose primary purpose is to be responsible for the day-to-day import/export transactions and to assist the Import/Export Manager.

Essential Functions: International Assistant

  • Coordinate international order fulfillment process to include processing customer orders, scheduling fulfillments with production, coordinating pick-up with shipping companies, export documentation and invoicing.
  • Provide top notch customer service to customers and distributors in Spanish.
  • Maintain import and export processes in cost effective and efficient way.
  • Ensure compliance to all international transactions with US Government regulations.
  • Maintain and assure all international procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure export compliance to include denied party screens, export data filing and export record keeping.
  • Interact with other departments of the company to ensure proper product clearance.
  • Support domestic customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirement

An associate degree from accredited college or university in business administration or other combined with 1 – 3 years of international business and exporting experience is desirable but not required. Need to show ability to analyze problems, gather pertinent data and recognize/recommend solutions. Demonstrate ability to communicate with and provide customer service to numerous globally based customers, agents, distributors, and end-users.

  • Fluent in Spanish is required.
  • International business experience in or with a foreign country would be highly beneficial.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Able to rapidly switch between tasks.
  • Sensitivity to international business practices and cultures.
  • Understanding of Customs Nomenclature would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Shipping Solutions, CRM and ERP software would be beneficial.
