Software Development Engineer

Our Company: Chauvin Arnoux, Inc. d/b/a AEMC^® Instruments: We are a well-established world-leader in test and measurement instrumentation. We design and manufacture professional electrical test and measurement instruments for the industrial, commercial and utility marketplace. Specifically, our full product line includes clamp-on meters, transformer ratiometers, power quality meters, harmonic power meters, data loggers, megohmmeter, ground testers, oscilloscopes, cable testers, thermal cameras and numerous other electrical test instruments.

Functional Role: The design, coding and testing of software for our products in the test and measurement market.

Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities: Developing Windows base software for our test and measurement instruments. This includes:

• Communicates with instruments via USB, Bluetooth and Ethernet interfaces.
• Downloads and displays data in table and graph formats.
• Saves data for later retrieval and analysis.
• Generates customer reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in software development preferred but will evaluate based on skill level.
• Microsoft Visual Studio C/C++ development and design experience.
• Experience with the MFC architecture.
• Experience with various communication mediums including the following: USB, Bluetooth and Ethernet (UDP/TCP).
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new responsibilities.
• Proficient user of personal computing software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
