Steps to Destroy PEL Adapter cat. #2137.83

1) Make sure the Adapter is not plugged into or connected to a device.
2) Use a pair of scissors, or other cutting mechanism, to completely sever the cord attached to the adapter unit as indicated on the below image.
3) Take a photo of the destroyed adapter showing the serial number and email it to return2137.83@aemc.com

Chauvin Arnoux^® has identified a potential safety problem which may affect the Catalog Number 2137.83 Adapter - 600 V CAT III Power Adapter for use with Models PEL 102 & PEL 103.

It has been detected that, in conditions close to its operating limits, certain products may undergo abnormal heating which may lead to a risk of burns or even electric shocks. The safety of our products' users is an essential priority for Chauvin Arnoux^® and AEMC^® Instruments, therefore we have decided to voluntarily recall all the products which may be affected and to supply a new replacement product.

Please stop using this accessory immediately.

NOTE: You MUST also download, complete, and email the Destruction of Catalog #2137.83 Adapter's Agreement form to us with a photograph of the destroyed adapter. Remember the photo also needs to show the adapter's serial number.

Once we have received your safety recall request, signed destruction agreement form and photos showing the adapter has been destroyed by severing the cord as recommended, we will do our best to ship a replacement adapter as timely as possible.
